Nyepi, the Balinese New Year, is known as the ‘Day of Silence’. It is about meditation and self-reflection. The whole island falls quiet; nobody leaves the houses, lighting is kept low and everything closes (even the airport). The eve of Nyepi is marked by a ‘Noise Parade’ through the grounds of the Estate.
COMO Shambhala Estate has designed a well balanced ‘Nyepi Reflection Programme’ allowing you to observe and partake in this sacred Balinese ritual. The Estate offers a two-night journey of self-reflection, affording you to the space to make informed life changes that will matter for years.
