About Bali

Bali, considered the jewel of Indonesia, has a dramatic mountain chain running through its middle. This divides the quiet north coast, where the foothills fall into the Bali Sea, from the more touristic south coast centred around Kuta and Nusa Dua.

At Bali’s heart lies Ubud, an inland town revered as the island’s cultural nerve-centre. Here the landscape comes alive with Hindu ceremonies. Local and international artists mingle. Life is village based, relaxed and largely rural.
